Aligned-piles wall system™

Technologies of Foundation Specialists, Inc., designed to install retaining walls for particular site conditions, are the Aligned-Piles Wall System and the Anchored Aligned-Piles Wall are convenient solutions to retain soil for deep excavation in particular geological conditions.

The Aligned-Piles Wall System (either Anchored or Cantilever type) is done by installing bored piles with a variable gap between contiguous piles. Where applicable, the system creates a sturdy, pervious wall system around the excavation, and it is a solution that is most often less expensive than any other deep excavation support method.

The gap between piles varies depending upon the properties of the in-situ soil, the water table and other prevailing site conditions.

The Aligned-Piles Wall can be supported by installing one or more level of tie-back/ground anchors , if so required by design.

For particular instances the gap between the Aligned Piles can be closed with smaller diameter piles lightly reinforced, and if drainage is required, but loss of fines has to be prevented the intermediate smaller diameter piles can be executed by means of pervious piles (see pervious piles in this website).
