FS Permanent Ground Anchors
FS Permanent Ground anchors are straight elements integrated into the soil consisting of steel reinforcement (strands) of high yield strength grouted to the surrounding soil. They are largely used in tying back retaining structures, holding down structures subjected to uplift forces, and ensuring stability of natural and artificial rock slopes.
One project that extensively used FS Permanent Ground Anchors is Sky City project located at the corner of two busy main thorougfares of Mandaluyong City; namely, EDSA and Ortigas Avenue. It involved installation of FS Soil Nails and FS Permanent Ground anchors. The soil nails and anchors were purposely designed in inclinations to avoid hitting existing structures such as the foundations of the Metro Rail Transit and the existing flyover.
